What it does

Onboard motion analysis, read at the weapon itself. It lives inside the grip the rifle already has, so nothing is added to the outside of the weapon, and no rail space is spent.

Weapon telemetry

Roll, pitch and yaw, transmitted to connected TAK devices.

Shot detection

Rounds fired, detected on the module from motion alone.

Braveheart ATAK plugin

The module reaches ATAK through the Braveheart plugin. It is the piece that turns a detected shot into something the rest of the net can read. It runs inside ATAK on Android, on the device your people already carry.

Three connections, one hubPrimary, secondary and AUX run independently, so a VICE module, a laser range finder and other peripherals can be connected at once. When a module detects a shot, the plugin writes a Cursor on Target message carrying the weapon’s location and orientation.
SmarTak® APIPast the shot itself, the plugin uses the API’s Status code to pass weapon usage and unit state and a designated target location from one node to another in a target handoff message.
Weapon and ammunition codesThe SmarTak API’s Weapon and Ammunition (WnA) code declares the exact weapon and load a module is fitted to, so what is reported matches what is actually being carried rather than a generic default.
